- 2 lb. blade steak (trimmed and cut into 1/4″ thick strips, illustration below)

- 2 Tbsp. rice vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1 Tbsp. light brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. garlic paste (Asian chili-)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced, ~1 tablespoon)
- 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 3 serrano chiles (or jalapeno chiles, halved, seeds and ribs removed, chiles cut crosswise 1/8″ thick)
- 3 shallots (medium, trimmed of ends, peeled, quartered lengthwise, layers separated)
- 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves (large leaves torn into bite-sized pieces)
- 1/2 cup cilantro leaves (fresh)

Really great dish with unique flavors. Not a project dish, but definitely wouldn’t say it’s an “easy throw together for a quick dinner dish either.
