  • 8 ounces steaks
  • 1/3 cup pesto (store-bought)
  • 2 medium tomatoes (each cut into 8 slices)
  • 1/2 pound mozzarella (cut into 16 slices)
  • fresh basil (for garnish)
  • ciabatta (sliced, to serve)

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Heat oil in a Dutch oven over high heat, season steaks then sear for 4 mins, turning. Brush steaks with pesto, top each with 2 slices tomato and 2 slices mozzarella. Roast for 5 mins. Garnish with basil and serve with ciabatta.

    this was delicious. i used my nuwave cooker instead of the oven. i cooked the steak to almoat my desired doneness with the pesto spread on it and then melted thw cheese over the tomato. that took about a minute or two. i will definitely be adding this to ky dinner rotation.
