- 1 kg fish (your choice, cut into steaks)
- 1 tsp. turmeric (Haldi Powder)
- 1 tsp. chilli powder
- 5 Tbsp. oil (for pan frying)
- salt
- 2 onions (Medium, finely diced or made into a paste)
- 4 tomatoes (finely diced)
- 1 tsp. garlic paste
- 1 tsp. ginger paste
- 2 green chillies (slit and cut into two)
- 2 tsp. curry powder (Sri Lankan)
- 1 tsp. turmeric (Haldi Powder)
- 1 tsp. black pepper (Powder)
- 1 tsp. chilli powder (red)
- 1/2 tsp. seeds (Fenugreek, Methi)
- 1/2 tsp. mustard (Rai seeds)
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 400 mL coconut milk
- 10 fresh curry leaves
- 1 tamarind (walnut size, ball, soaked in 1/2 cup water or 1 Tbsp Tamarind Paste diluted in 1/2 cup water)
- salt (as per taste)
- lemon wedges (optional)
- coriander (Chopped Green/and lemon wedges for garnish, optional)
