Description
White rice as made in Ella, Sri Lanka, taught to us in a cooking lesson at the Ella Spice Garden by the wonderful Chandika Madusanka.
Ingredients

4 SERVINGS
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 cup rice (sambar, basmati, or other short grain)
- 5 slices leaves (Pandam)
- 2 cardamon (pods, smashed)
- 1 1/2 inches cinnamon stick

Directions
- Wash rice until water runs clear (tis keeps it from becoming too sticky)
- Mix all ingredients together and put in rice cooker
- Once rice is cooked, wait 10 minutes before stirring to separate
