I used presoaked split peas and found the recipe cooked quite quickly and the flavour was delicious

The recipe smells great and I’m sure it’s going to taste great. But the recipe is off in some way. At 25 minutes of simmering, it was like soup. It needs more split peas, or less liquid, or to cook longer... 3 C of broth plus two cans of liquid just will not be absorbed by 2/3 C split peas... 🤔
