Description
Warm cinnamon-sugar dusted doughnuts? Yes, please! The batter comes together easily with the help of a blender, and even if you're not an experienced deep-fryer, you'll master the method quickly. It's important to control the oil temperature, however, so a deep-frying thermometer is advised. The recipe is a Yummly original created by Martha Holmberg.

Directions
- Combine flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and ginger in a high-powered blender. Pulse to blend ingredients. Transfer to a large mixing bowl.
- Combine the sugar, eggs, pumpkin puree, sour cream, melted butter, and vanilla in the blender. Blend until very smooth, about 30 seconds.
- Add about half of the dry ingredients to the wet mixture in the blender. Pulse to mix. Add remaining dry ingredients. Pulse just to mix somewhat, scraping the sides of the blender a few times. Do not over-blend; it's fine if dry flour remains visible.

Great recipe, the pumpkin spice is great. think we will sub powdered sugar next time. without an oil thermometer level of doneness is tough to control, but with careful monitoring none will burn and generally they turn out good. make small donuts to make it easier to do it this way.
