- 1/2 cup blanched almonds (whole or slivered)
- 1/4 cup hazelnuts (with or without skin, without skin is quicker and easier)
- 4 large garlic cloves (peeled)
- olive oil
- 3 plum tomatoes (ripe, or other ripe tomatoes)
- 1 Chili (dried ancho, sliced in half, seeds and stem removed)
- 12 oz. roasted red peppers, drained (and roughly chopped, 1 1/2 cups*)
- 3 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
- 1 tsp. kosher salt
- 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
