- 1/2 cup water (if using passata or puree)
- 1 tsp. dried Italian herbs (mix or 1 teaspoon dried oregano)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar (or to taste)
- 1 tsp. vinegar (or to taste, See Note 3)
- black pepper (to taste)
- red chili flakes (optional and to taste)
- 1 lb. spaghetti (box ,550g)
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- Parmesan cheese
