I put some BBQ spice on yhem before putting them into the oven. the meat wqs a liytle bland for my 3 year old but i thought it tasted like fatty bacon. I used the stock to steam some cabbage and broccoli and it was wonderful

I used cayenne pepper. I also cooked them in a crockpot and skimmed the oil off the top and added some root vegetables.
