The flavor of the gravy really depends on the sausage one choices to use, and the volume of grease left from the sausage. But you cannot go wrong with this recipe! Anyone can adjust the volume of salt and pepper to taste.
Sausage gravy over a hot homemade biscuit is the perfect breakfast! I love to pair it up with eggs over easy, and a cup of piping hot coffee!

Easy and very tasty, I think the key is in the sausage you use. The better the sausage the better the results. The directions and proportions are spot on, I don’t think I would change a thing. Remember you will reach maximum thickness once the gravy boils. Next day: Just heated up a biscuit and popped the gravy in the microwave for 1 1/2 minutes, it is just as good if not better on day two.

I didn’t have any dairy milk in the house, so I used Chobani's extra creamy oat milk, and it was fabulous! This is the best sausage gravy I've made yet!!

Turned out delicious. Sage and nutmeg and hot pork sausage. Highly recommend this recipe.’
And I substituted to use wheat flour.

I love the flavor of this recipe. I usually find sausage gravy bland and boring but this was just right!

Really good! I’ve made this without the nutmeg when I didn’t have it, but it does add to the flavor. I’ve also added a touch of chicken base to it that added even more depth.

Turned out so good. I had to reduce the milk by a cup, and I had seasoned sausage, but this was delicious.
