- 1 tsp. garlic (minced, can substitute 1 tsp garlic powder)
- 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter (cut into cubes)
- 1 cup grits
- 5 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. heavy cream
- 2 Tbsp. heavy cream (optional, substitute milk or half and half instead of cream)
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 Tbsp. fresh parsley (for optional garnish)
