Ingredients

- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating dough balls)
- 2/3 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 cup granulated sugar (for dough)
- 1 large eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp. almond extract
- 2 cups all purpose flour (plus 2 Tbsp.)
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions
- Line two baking sheets with silicone baking mats or parchment paper. Set aside.
- Measure the granulated sugar for coating the dough balls into a small bowl. Set aside.
- Place the softened butter and granulated sugar into a large bowl. Using a mixer fitted with a whisk attachment, cream together on medium speed for 1 minute, or until pale and fluffy.

These cookies are amazing!!! So soft, yet chewy. Just the right amount of lemon flavor. Love them!!!

very good recipe, followed the directions altho next time i will just freeze all the cookies before i turn the oven on that way i can just pull some out when i want a few. since the recipe says to feeze dough 10 to 15 minutes prior to baking i dont see why this wouldnt be a great make ahead and freeze recipe.
