- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 1/4 tsp. active dry yeast
- 22 oz. all purpose flour (about 4-1/2 cups)
- 4 Tbsp. unsalted butter (melted)
- 8 cups water
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 1 egg (beaten with 2 tablespoons milk)
- pretzel
- cinnamon sugar

1 min on each side but still to doughy inside. taste good nice crunchy skin. but had to bake 25 min. and i agree this wasnt an 1 hour but more like hour and 50 mins.

This took a whole lot longer than an hour to make Once the dough rises, take a small portion (fits in your palm if you have small hands) and roll it between your palms then place that on a flat surface to roll longitudinally with a rolling pin Cut that vertically into 2 pieces then roll into a long cord Use water to seal the pretzel into the correct shape Allow to dry somewhat then boil for 1-2 minutes I used kosher salt on some, Everything Bagel on some and Cinnamon and Sugar on a few
They taste great, just like “Hot Sam’s” from decades ago!

These turned out great! The taste was absolutely matching the hot pretzel memory craving I was having. Will definitely make these again.

This was my first time making dough (and gluten free!) and it was super easy and fun! I only forgot to sprinkle the toppings before throwing them in the oven but they're nice and crispy regardless. Will make again!
