- 1 1/2 cups onion (diced)
- 10 garlic cloves (finely chopped)
- 1 1/2 tsp. sweet Hungarian paprika
- 1 tsp. smoked paprika
- 1 tsp. dried marjoram
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 1/2 cup carrots (peeled, chopped into bite-size pieces)
- 1 1/2 cups russet potatoes (peeled, chopped into bite-size pieces)
- 1/3 cup reduced sodium soy sauce (OR gluten free reduced sodium tamari)
- 4 cups water
- 2 tsp. red miso
- 30 oz. red beans (drained and rinsed, OR ~2½ cups cooked red beans)
- 2 Tbsp. finely chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 tsp. liquid smoke (I used Wright’s Hickory Liquid Smoke)
