- 3/4 cup green lentils (or black brown, or 1 3/4 cups, or one can, cooked lentils)
- 2 tsp. olive oil
- 1 yellow onion (or medium white, chopped)
- 1/2 tsp. smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp. chili powder (ground)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. tomato paste
- 1/2 cup vegetable broth
- 1 bunch curly kale (thick stems removed and chopped)
- crushed red pepper flakes (to taste)
- 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds (raw shelled, soaked for at least 2 hours and drained of soak water)
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tsp. lime juice
- 1/4 tsp. salt
