- 1/2 cup bbq rub (your favorite)
- 1 1/2 sticks butter (sliced)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 cup bbq sauce (your choice)
- 1/4 cup apple jelly (substitute a different jelly—pepper is good—if not available)
- 1/4 cup apple juice
- 1 Tbsp. frank (’s Red Hot sauce)

Taste was very good. Needed to add salt as my dry rub didn’t have enough to my taste. Braising yielded everything as promised. My family liked the “crunchy pieces.” Those came from where I have hot spots in my smoker. Will definitely use this recipe again. Thanks.
