I left out the onions and made 1/4 recipe for 2 people perfect amount. Creamy and great flavor

This sauce recipe is huge!! I made it exact and next time I will definitely half it. Besides that, it was really good! I added some extra larger chunks of bacon in the mac (not just on top). Also garlic powder and needs way more pepper then what it calls for. If you make the full recipe, it would be great as a potluck/party dish to pass for a large group of people.

Recipe calls for a butter roux, I find this adds a thick floury texture when I prefer stringy cheese. Next time I’ll skip the butter roux and use only a bit of a flour slurry to thicken the sauce. I also added lots of garlic power and pepper to make a more interesting dish. The recipe makes a large amount of sauce, next time I’ll decrease it by 1/3 for a full box of pasta
