- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs (unseasoned)
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup whole milk
- freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup marsala (sherry, or Medeira, I used Medeira)
- 3 Tbsp. unsalted butter (or salted, again, I used salted)
- 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1 3/4 cups chicken stock (or broth - I used broth with a moderate salt content)
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- salt
- freshly ground black pepper
- 12 oz. wide egg noodles
- 1 Tbsp. unsalted butter (salted/, guess which one I chose?)
- 4 tsp. fresh chives (minced)
