This was fantastic. I used Kansas City Steak Seasoning instead of salt/pepper and it was delish.

What a delicious but simple recipe. Came out perfectly medium rare. Will cook this again.

The tenderloin turned out great! Everyone loved it! It was extremely tender and came out rare, which we love! We wound just prefer to have it a little crisp on the outside next time. But will definitely use this recipe again!!!

I used venison instead of beef. It was 3 pounds so I cooked it for about 45 minutes and let it rest for 15. It was still pretty raw and I had to put it back in. Next time I will cook it for longer. Looking back I realize the shape of my meat was not as long and skinny as the tenderloin in the recipe and was thicker and shorter. Therefore, I blame this on me and think if I’d had an actual store bought beef tenderloin it would have cooked perfectly. The taste was amazing and I even made an au jus to dip the meet in. Planning to make French dip sandwiches with the leftovers. Will cook again.
