- 3 lb. whole chicken (must be thawed and NOT frozen – these are actually quite cheap. I picked up a whole bird for just $3!)
- 3 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 3 lb. whole chicken (thawed)

This was super easy and very moist! Will make again. Using the left overs for white chicken chili!

I had never made a whole chicken before this. Although the task was daunting, this recipe made it much easier. It tasted great! The juices from the chicken made the vegetables so flavorful. I will definitely make this again :)

Haven’t actually tasted it yet as it is still cooking but prep was very easy & I am hoping it tastes as good as the recipe picture looks will get back yo you on this.

It was very good. The veggies needed more salt and pepper. I would also increase the salt for the chicken. Very easy. My husband said the gravy was great.

Lacked a little salt, but overall was a very simple and satisfying family meal. Soaked the extra juices up with a good baguette.

Takes about 30 min prep time. Felt like the veggies could've used some seasoning. Cooked perfectly in 6 hrs then 5 min under broiler gave it a great finish. Not a fan of cooked vegetables from a crockpot- they all tend to look the same when finished. Probably won't make again.

Slim pickings on a thanksgivings day but found 6 lb chicken. Recipe was awesome and we really enjoyed the added bonus of gravy. I really loved the idea of creating a bed for the chicken with the veggies! Was so surprised to see the slow cooker juiced up after 4 hours. Awesome recipe and thanks for sharing!

It was great! I did my own mix of spices with olive oil for the paste and it was good. Thumbs up!!
