- 4 chicken sausage (links Aidells Roasted Garlic, or use other types of sausage)
- 1 onion (chopped into small pieces, about 1 cup chopped onion)
- 3 carrots (chopped into small pieces, about 1 1/2 cups chopped carrots)
- 4 cups chicken stock (I use homemade chicken stock, but canned broth or chicken stock from a carton is fine)
- 2 cups water
- 1 packet ham (Goya, Flavored Concentrate, optional, but it does add a lot of flavor)
- salt
- ground pepper
