I followed the directions exactly as written and this recipe just isn't good. There is no depth to the taste of the chicken. As Annette said, it just tastes like oranges despite having honey and garlic in it. I would not make this again.
Edit: Tried to eat this as leftovers and the amount of cornstarch in the recipe wouldn't allow the sauce to turn to a liquid after numerous attempts to reheat. Search elsewhere for a better Orange Chicken recipe.

I made this today and with my very hot crock pot I cooked it on low for about 4 hours. I found it to be overly sweet despite using only half the amount of honey (it was all I had in the house.) I guess what I liked about it the least was the lack of anything else in the dish meaning vegetables. The flavor is monochromatic for lack of a better word. It tastes like oranges and nothing else. I added more ginger and garlic than was called for and the flavor is overwhelmingly oranges. I don’t think I will make it again
