Amazing! Super easy to make and tasted delicious. Might add less beef stock next time, there was a lot even for the amount of meat in there and kind of takes the flavor out of the peppers. I even sauteed the mushrooms to go on top with provolone. Will be keeping this recipe!

Did not use beef stock, used Peperoncini juice and peppers instead which made a good snap that this recipe SO NEEDED since last I made it! Added mushrooms, served on broiled hoagies with havarti cheese, my husband hasn’t stopped talking it up!

Don't believe the other comments. This was good, but didn't taste anything like a Philly Cheese Steak. It tasted like roast meat with little flavor. I'm from the south so I have to doctor most recipes I find on here, and this one was no exception. The picture of the recipe is not accurate. If you put the ingredients in like instructed, it all cooks down and the peppers and onions are not going to look like that. I think that this required way too much broth and not nearly enough seasoning. We doctored it quite a bit and it still just tasted like roast meat--we like roast, but not what we were going for.

There's a reason this is rated the most popular on Yummly - and let me tell ya, it's because it's fantastic. The first time I made it, one of my best friends who's a chef was visiting for a weekend - he loved it. Said it was one of the best philly cheesesteaks he's ever had, the slow cooker really makes the meat tender.
I veered from the recipe calling for provolone & doctored mine up with two different types of gourmet Havarti. Phenomenal - had the 'wiz on standby, we ended up eating the entire batch in 2 days.
Two thumbs way up - thanks for this amazing recipe!

Excellent philly! The flavor was definitely there and the steak was so tender. I will definitely make this again
