So the first time I made this I used a pork roast. Today I used a beef roast, and it turned out great. It's moist and flavorful and my husband loved it. My kids who can be fussy like it too. This is definitely going to stay on ny Yum list.

This dish was delicious and easy. The pork had a very rich flavor with a sweet kick. I swapped grated Parmesan for some better shredded Parmesan from the store, and I cut back the cooking time to about 4.5 hours to avoid overcooking. For the last 20 minutes I cooked on high in the slow cooker to finish off the roast, and it was perfect. 10/10 would recommend.

I made this tonight and wish I would have only cooked for about 4-5 hours. I had a 2 1/2 lb pork loin. I left to run some errands and came back to a black loin. It was very overcooked. I had no sauce because it all stuck to the crock pot.
I will say, It did still have good flavor. It was a bit dry. My husband of course still scarfed it down and said it was delicious. My son (5) even ate it with no complaints. I am anxious to try it again soon! I will only cook for 4-5 hours on low and definitely will not leave the house when it is close to being done.

Did not modify at all. I really loved the recipe and it creates a great liquid to thicken and pour over the pork roast. My only concern was that after all said and done, I felt that there was a flavor there that was missing. I felt that it should have been a little bit sweeter, but not sure. I definitely loved it, but will do some tests on it next time. One tip: combined the soy sauce, oil, and salt first. To make sure everything mixes thoroughly. Then i added the basil and garlic. Then cheese and lastly the honey. Worked out very well for me. Oh and it was great over mashed potatoes!
