I made a few changes. First I browned my beef in a tablespoon of olive oil( I have an all in one that allows me to brown). Removed the beef and caramelized the red onion, then toasted the spices. I think that might have added a bit more depth.
Loved the aroma and flavor and will be making this again soon.
