Since the reviews said the recipe was bland I doubled the spices, added 2 jalapeños chopped with seeds, broth instead of water and added a can of chipotle peppers in adobo sauce. I also used chopped tomatoes and tomato paste instead of tomato sauce. Was delicious and flavorful.

it was good but if I make this again I'll need to maybe triple the seasonings as it was very bland.
