  • 3 chicken breasts (I use small to medium-sized breasts. If you use large breasts then I'd recommend using 2 cans of cream of chicken or equal amount of homemade cream of chicken.)
  • 1 packet Italian dressing
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (OR equal amount of homemade cream of chicken, you can use more than 1 can, but I usually just use one since we're a small family)
  • dried parsley (optional)
  • ground black pepper (freshly)
  • cooked brown rice
  • Did you make this?

Delicious and easy to make! Added a few handfuls of frozen broccoli as well!

This was an easy creamy recipe. I don’t think the chicken would’ve needed to be cooked for more than 3.5 hours on low. I cooked mine for 4 hours, and the chicken was starting to shred a bit too much. I prefer chunks to shredded.

It was fine. We thought the cream cheese made it a bit too heavy.

This one couldn't be easier to make and packs really nice flavor. I doubled the sauce portion because we like extra creamy rice. I stirred the cooked rice into the crockpot at the very end and set it on the warm setting. It held up nicely even though we were all eating at different times. A good meal if you've got a busy night ahead.

Hi - college kid here. I also made my own cream of chicken for this recipe and it was amazing. My roommate tried the chicken fresh out of the crockpot and she loved it too! Didn’t burn the apartment down either so that was a plus (I CAN adult!) I have leftovers for tomorrow and will make again!!

Turned out great! Substituted boneless legs and thighs for the chicken breasts and came out super tasty!

Great! I just did not know what exactly the cream of chicken was (I'm Dutch :-) so used creamy chicken soup. Before shredding the chicken I took the sauce and boiled it down with some thickener and used my blender (the one on a stick) which made a really great and thick sauce. Was nothing left, yum yum yum! Had it with some baked potatoes and broccoli.

Great! We ate this with pasta instead of rice. I added frozen spinach once, and frozen broccoli another time.

was nice i couldn't find the dried Italian dressing so just used the one for salads and added in some hidden veg and cream of mushroom to give more sauce and is goimg down very well
