We loved it! I substituted bacon leftover ham from a roast dinner. I forgot carrots and just used one can of both corn and cream corn, because that is what I had. It was still delicious!

I used half and half instead of milk and cornstarch. This made it rich and creamy but added calories to be sure. This froze well for eating later.

I didn't follow the recipe exactly (didn't have thyme and maybe one other minor ingredient) and I cooked a smaller portion then this recipe called for. But it came out really good.
