- 3 cloves garlic (peeled and crushed with a knife)
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 Tbsp. golden syrup
- 1 Tbsp. malt vinegar
- 2 lb. red potatoes (quartered)
- 1 lb. baby carrots
- 1/2 head cabbage

- freshly ground pepper
