I'm currently eating this as I write the review . . . It's fantastic! The only complaint I have is that the recipe for the scratch dumplings is not nearly enough for the amount of "gravy" and chicken it makes. The only change I made to the recipe was searing my chicken first and then using the extra can of water to deglaze the pan to get all that flavor into the crock pot. We will definitely make this on a regular rotation.

Its really tasty. I however used a can of biscuits instead of making the dumplings. I def have to add more dumplings. We were all fighting over them. I also think I going to add peas and carrots.

Amazing! Have never made anything similar and was a little nervous about trying to make dumplings, but I followed the instructions, and it turned out perfect! The self-rising flour mixture turned instantly into dumplings when dropped near the edges of the hot crockpot, and I had no issues dropping multiple dumplings formations on top of each other to make "extras" (I made a bit more dumplings than it called for). The overall flavor was incredible, was thick and creamy, and so easy! Will definitely repeat this one!

Wow.. what a simple recipe but delivers a lot of flavors. This is by far my favorite. I added some celery and thyme from other reviewers. My husband enjoyed it. Thank you so much for sharing.

Overall okay. Needs a lot of tweaking, not flavorful enough. Definitely needs more seasonings and dumplings. Good base to start with and easy.
