  • 4 pounds pork butt (boneless, quartered)
  • 12 ounces cola beverage (not diet)
  • 1 onion (large, chopped)
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 12 ounces Smucker's Cherry Preserves
  • 16 ounces barbecue sauce
  • 12 kaiser rolls (or Hawaiian-style buns, split)

    Directions

    1. PLACE pork in slow cooker. Add cola, onion and garlic. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    2. COVER and cook on LOW for 8 to 9 hours or HIGH for 4 hours or until pork is very tender.
    3. REMOVE pork from slow cooker. Shred using two forks.
    4. STIR preserves and barbecue sauce into meat juices until blended. Stir in shredded pork until coated. Sauce will thicken during standing. Serve on rolls.
