Perfect. This is my go to recipe, We make it probably at least once a month. I change up beers, sauces, etc and it always comes out amazing.

Perfect. I used an lager beer instead of a dark ale beer cuz it’s what I had and since the beer wasn’t enough liquid to cover the pork & onions I added 7.5 oz of Dr Pepper but I believe any dark pop would do. It was so good I’m making it again!

Turned out delicious! Will probably replace the beer with ginger ale next time to change the taste up a bit. Kids loved it and we all know how picky preteens can be!

It was good. I used it for my lentil and kale soup as well as my black eyed pea recipe for New Years. Yum!

Delicious, the dark beer adds the perfect touch without any telltale alcohol taste( for those that worry it might have a strong hops flavor). I used a dark beer, however to cut down on the fat/grease, I used two pork tenderloins. It was amazing plain or for those in the family that like some BBQ sauce I offered a less sweet variety. Served with a nice tomato/cuke salad in a vinaigrette- perfection!

Fabulous! Family loved it. Wife and kids loved it plain, I put BBQ sauce on mine. Used Coors Light as this is what I had on hand. Still turned out great! Going to tak left overs (we have plenty) and make Mexican dishes out of them.

OMG, this was fabulous. I used a pale ale (Rainier) instead of a dark ale and only used half a cup of the juice to mix with the BBQ sauce. Also, I had the small pork roast that you can buy at Costco (pack of 4), so I think it was only about 2.5lbs. Since it was a smaller roast I only cooked it on low for about 5 hours until it was the right temp.

No one in my family generally likes BBQ pork as it is always far too sweet for our tastes, we also don't like the taste of beer but we all LOVED this!
I did make a few changes:
-I used Finnegan's Amber Ale instead of a Dark Ale
-I made the initial part of the recipe (cooking the roast) the night before and then let it cool and shredded it then put it in the refrigerator over night. The following day I put the shredded meat and 1/2 a bottle or so (we don't like sloppy meat) back in the crock pot without the reserved liquid and let it warm for a couple hours.
- For the BBQ sauce I used Jack Daniel's brand
