- 8 oz. mushrooms (quartered, I didn't add these because my husband doesn't like them, but the recipe begs for mushrooms if you ask me!)
- 1 yellow onion (quartered and sliced)
- 4 cloves garlic (crushed or minced, or 1 tsp. garlic powder)
- 2 beef bouillon cubes
- 1 tsp. dried oregano
- 1 cup red wine
- 1/2 cup half-and-half
- 3/4 cup water
- ground black pepper (freshly, to taste)
- 1 1/2 cups rice (uncooked)
- 1 Tbsp. corn starch

So good!!My kids and my husband have asked that this becomes a weekly menu item for the fall!
