This recipe is a keeper. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Tasted great with some nice fresh bread. I used the water to deglaze the pan and add flavour. I also added mushrooms about an hour prior to finish. I used the low setting and cooked for 7 hours. I added some fresh parsley to garnish. So good on a cold day!

This is a wonderful recipe! It was well worth the extra steps, even on a busy workday morning. The flavor was robust and it was a good consistency. I bet the leftovers are going to be even better!

This is excellent... I added cumin, celery powder, onion powder, oregano, cayenne, turmeric and shredded ginger... This has earned a weekly roster spot
