- 4 lb. beef shank (split if half with the bone split, fits into slow cooker easier and let's out the marrow)
- 2 shallots (chopped)
- 2 Tbsp. minced ginger
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 Tbsp. ghee
- 1 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 tsp. ground cardamom
- 1 Tbsp. coriander powder
- 1 tsp. cumin powder
- 1 tsp. turmeric
- 1 tsp. chili powder (kashmiri, bright red indian chili powder)
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. Garam Masala
- 56 oz. diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup water

- Add all ingredients to crock pot.
- Set to high and cook for 5 hours or until meat is tender.
