This was fantastic. I added a cup of corn and used those little sweet peppers in different colors.

We loved this dish! I omitted the red bell pepper because I was out. I doubled the brown sugar as others suggested. Also, I prepared the sloppy jo portion the day before, then warmed it in my cast iron skillet the next day and continued with the recipe...perfect! That’s a time saver.

Made it for the family, but used an extra tablespoon of Brown sugar, only half of the bell pepper and supplemented the green onion with chives as it was all I had at the time. Lol
Family loved it though! Would def make again.

Nice and cheesy! Not too spicy, a hit for the whole family! A simple and easy cook.

With the addition of cheese between the beef mixture and tater tots, it will be made again in many variations.

My husband was a big fan! I can see adding more garlic or brown sugar but overall it was a very tasty dinner and easy to make!
