Very juicy. Added a bit more butter. Kids and Hubby enjoyed it. Did not use the slap ya mamas spices but will try next time as it is on the internet

Turned out great! Did have to cook it for another hour and turn the heat up, so start it early. The seasoning is awesome though and it turned out super juicy.

Let me start by saying I have never baked a whole chicken before. I didn't like taking the stuff out of the cavity(thank God for latex gloves). The only thing I didn't do is tie the legs together and I don't know if that made difference in the cooking time or using an electric oven not gas. The cooking time was about 15 minutes longer. It was easy, juicy, and had great flavor. I will make it again.😊😊😊👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I don’t usually write reviews but this was remarkably good and everyone in the family liked it. Also provided great leftover chicken for the week. Delish!

Delicious!! I’m going to pair it with some good mashed taters and early peas. This chicken is SOOO GOOD! 😋My hubby couldn’t wait to taste it! That’s why a wing is missing. He took it off even before I checked the temp when I got it out the oven! Thank You for posting this recipe! I’m cooking more during this pandemic. 😆😂🤣

This was amazing, my whole family loved the little kick of spice. We made chicken noodle soup the next day with the leftovers which were also amazing.

Clean chicken of excess fat and clear out the cavity of the chicken. Pat chicken dry with paper towels. Coat entire chicken with olive oil, then season generously with Slap Ya Mama Original Blend seasoning, outside and inside of chicken. Stuff lemons, onions, bell peppers, garlic, thyme and butter into the chicken cavity. Using cotton string, tie the legs together tightly. Place in a shallow roasting pan or cast iron skillet and roast at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, occasionally basting with juices from bottom of the pan or skillet. Reduce heat to 325 degrees and continue roasting for 1 hour, occasionally basting with juices. Internal temperature should register 165 degrees in the meaty part of the thigh using a meat thermometer. Carve and enjoy!

i used to live in California so i like some spice, with that i added a poblano pepper and creole seasoning. perfect

I actually used limes instead of lemons and also added more bell peper. I loved how it turned out and so did my family. I will be making it again!

Didn’t have any bell pepper but I cubed onions and zucchini from my garden to fill out the baking dish the chicken was in. Was SOOOO good we didn’t have any leftovers. I love slap your mama and for those that don’t like the heat there was no heat left when it was done cooking. I sprinkle a little more on after just to taste. What is very good and I will make it again

Omg it was delicious, I made it for Christmas dinner my husband and kids loved it. Very tasty, my kids thought I was kidding when I said I was doing "slap ya mama's whole chicken" lol..Great recipe I did use my own seasoning.

Delicious! I had to roast the chicken a little longer than an hour and a half, but it came out tasting moist and very flavorful..
