- 1 lb. shell pasta
- 3 cups water (for making pasta)
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil (you can even use herbed oil)
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 3 Tbsp. whole wheat flour
- 1 Tbsp. all purpose flour
- 2 cups skim milk (you can even use almond or cashew milk for more flavor)
- 1/4 cup vegetable broth
- 1 Tbsp. mustard (optional)
- 1/4 cup Emmental cheese (Shredded, optional or you can use parmesan, white cheddar, etc.)
- 1/2 garlic powder ( Tspn )
- 2 tsp. chili flakes
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- salt (as per taste)
- pepper (as per taste)
- 3 Tbsp. bread crumbs
- 2 Tbsp. cheese crackers (crumbled)
