I made this last night and it came out perfectly. Okay, I read some had issues with the recipe and I admit I altered the recipe a bit. Firstly I used 1 cup of all purpose flour and a 1/2 cup chickpea flour. Next, I'm in Durban South Africa. It is very humid here and humidity does account for alternate cooking times, temps and overall success. Lastly, I altered the cooking method. I did not use a skillet but opted for two different methods as I made two different kinds. For the first one, I made it in an air fryer. I used my Philips air fryer and cooked it for 20 minutes on its lowest setting. We use centigrade versus Fahrenheit over here and I didn't keep it on one setting. I was unsure of how this would turn out and not being 100% trusting of this, I opted to watch over it carefully. I am glad I did as it turned out very nice. Crunchy on the outside and cooked inside it was like a scone. The second one I used my oven and to be honest while I preferred the air fried outside, I rather enjoyed the inside of the baked one. I used a constant 50 degrees and baked it for 12 minutes before overturning it and cooking for an additional 12. All the equipment in my home is professional as I run a Vegan foods company for wholesale and retail however one should expect the same results. Oh, I almost forgot, I added dried thyme, parsley, rosemary, and garlic. So yum I ate it with our VegoBrand Here & Now Burger, Cajun Cheesy sauce over mushroom pasta with bechamel sauce kale, butternut and portabello sauce with sugar beans and baked everything for 15 minutes MY WORD!!! Happy eating and please, go Vegan.

Unfortunately we did not care for this. it turned out tasting like dough. Perhaps it should have cooked longer but I cooked it exactly 7 minutes per side like stated. I did use white wheat flour instead of all purpose which may have had an impact on the consistency.
