I didn’t have almond butter, so I used peanut butter. I added maca powder, ashwaganda and desiccated coconut. It was really good.

Superb! My non paleo friends would really like these too, and my dairy-free and vegan visitors will be most impressed I'm sure. As it looked promising I started with a whole small jar of almond butter, and visually matched the other main ingredients to that volume. Quick to prepare, and handy to have in a tub in the freezer when friends visit. Not likely to last that long though. After I put it in the tin,but before I put it in the freezer I did top it with freshly roasted flaked almonds, which I briefly cooked on their own without oil in a frying pan. This improved their presentation as well as making the texture and taste more interesting.
I don't know why it's necessary to use as many characters to say this tasted great, but trust me, it did!

Easy and good! Great way to satisfy that sweet tooth. I substituted the maple syrup with agave nectar and it was wonderful!
