Turned out amazing. My mom was impressed so was I. Yes I’d make it again. Actually used tomato sauce cuz it was what we had. Really good

Goes really well with basmati rice and fish. Whoah now!, careful with the cayenne. Sometimes a little goes a long way especially if you have the extra hot stuff like I do, I plan to tilt a little more smoked paprika and a little less cayenne next time.

Did not have cayenne, so I substituted hot sauce…This soup is so good! Very unique.

Yum! Spices are on point. I used smoked paprika. I did add more water and would like to make it again with coconut milk so there’s more sauce for rice. I think this will be yummy next time with baked chicken!

Excellent. My husband even raved about it and he is finicky about trying new foods he is not familiar with. I served them with honey-curry chicken niblets and warm spinach salad. — I soaked my lentils for 24 hours prior to cooking, and then rinsed them over and over to remove as much of the lectins as possible (without pressure cooking them, since I don’t have a pressure cooker). Because they were soaked so long, they absorbed a lot of water and did not require but one cup of water in the cooking of them. Additionally, they were already soft and almost edible after all that soaking, so I only cooked them for about 15 minutes total. When done cooking, they still had texture but were soft enough to enjoy. I loved this recipe. I will definitely make this again.

Love this! I make it at least once a week - one time I was out of diced tomatoes and substituted tomato paste, and found we actually prefer it that way. Amazing flavor.

Delicious! I loved this dish over rice. The lemon juice really adds a zing. It’s great for a vegan meal (even if the SO doesn’t like it).

Delicious! A tasty and easy way to eat lentils. I suggest to use a little bit less of the spice mix if you're not used to eat very spiced food. I also skipped ground ginger bc I don't like it and replaced cumin seed for cumin powder, it turned out great!. You can also use cooked lentils for quicker results, just add little water to your disare consistency
