- 1 cup whole milk (I used 2 cups of half and half instead of one cup each of cream and milk)
- 3 large eggs (plus 2 large egg yolks)
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 15 oz. pumpkin puree
- 1 cup yams (drained candied, from 15-ounce can, regular canned yams can be substituted)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tsp. fresh ginger (grated, I used 1 1/2 teaspoons of ground because I’m not a huge fan of fresh ginger)
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1 tsp. table salt

Love it my go too pumpkin pie recipe, my family asks me to make it every thanksgiving

Birthday pie instead of cake.. I live in Munich where Libby's doesn't exist. Going the long way around with making your own pumpkin purée was worth it for having a glorious smooth taste of this seasonal delight in my mouth again..
