- 1 tsp. fresh thyme (chopped)
- 1 lb. shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 8 cups water
- 4 cups grits
- 1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
- 2 cups grits
- 4 cups shredded white cheddar cheese (or more to taste)
