- 3 cups baby carrots (or thick-sliced carrots)
- 1 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms (thickly sliced)
- 1 onion (large, finely diced)
- 1/2 head garlic (about 6 cloves, pressed)
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 oz. onion soup (or Dip Mix)
- 1/2 Tbsp. Mrs Dash (or your favorite seasoning)
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- salt (to taste, I added 1 tsp.)

OK, husband liked it but I wasn't too thrilled. Carrots were mush after cooking so long. Recipe has you adding the flour before cooking. After cooking, I had to add more thickener to get sauce back to gravy, it had become very thin. Cream also needs to be added at end for a fresher taste. I think the way to tweak this recipe would be to wait to make the gravy at end of cooking. Pull out juice, boil it down a little (there's a lot), add your thickener and cream. Then add back to crock pot and toss pork in it. Maybe add the carrots 1/2 way through so they are so overcooked? Or skip them.
