Description
From Victoria Magazine, July/August 2016 - this is delicious. I didn't have time for the whole cake, so just made the filling and Grand Marnier Whipped Cream and served over store bought shortcake cups. Amazing!
Ingredients

4 SERVINGS
- 1 cup butter (softened)
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups self rising cake flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 large eggs
- 1/4 cup water (cool)
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- strawberry filling (recipe follows)
- whipped cream (Grand Marnier, recipe follows)

Directions
- Preheat oven to 350. Spray two 8-inch cake pans with baking spray with flour, line with parchment paper, and spray again.
- In a large bowl, beat butter with a mixer at high speed until creamy, about 3 minutes. Add sugar, and beat until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.
- In a small bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Set aside.
