The vinegar ruins it. I’m straining it now hoping I can add beef broth to try to save the $ spent on ingredients.

This recipe is full of flavor! Careful not to salt too much in the beginning, I made that mistake the first time I made this. The tomato paste and beef broth will have enough salt to carry the dish. Very lightly salt the meat to sear as this recipe calls for cooking down the broth to thicken rather than using flour which boosts the saltiness. So incredibly good when done right. I highly recommend!

This is the BEST Beef stew ever! I pretty much followed the recipe as directed. I did however add additional liquids, increasing the wine two cups and used 32 oz beef stock, Increased tomato paste to a full 6 oz. Also increased the amount of seasonings as 5 lbs is a LOT of meat !!! I added quartered red potatoes with the vegetables and added thickly sliced crimini mushrooms about one half hour before serving. This is really an exceptionally flavorful Beef Stew, hardy, richly satisfying and I will definitely make this recipe again!
