Was very simple and came out wonderful..... it did dry out rather quickly but added a little butter and it was juicy again.

Nicole Whitaker.. Curious if you adjusted your oven temp, being a dutch oven?

Excellent. I cooked the chicken in my dutch oven without the lid and it turned out great!

This makes a wonderful chicken, great for a simple family meal and leftover chicken and bones for sandwiches and soup. Love how easy it is! (It does make a mess on your oven, though, so I recommend a foil tent toward the end.)

Added fresh lemon,pepper, garlic, then coated the skin with olive oil. Golden brown and delicious! Actually 5 stars but the app wouldn't cooperate.

I liked the chicken. However, the cooking of it was a mess. Splatters of grease in oven everywhere, which caused the oven to smoke. The whole house stunk of smoke. I need to think of a less messy way to cook this!
