I did not like this recipe. I think it was a texture thing. The sauce was still too watery (maybe I didn’t let it thicken enough?) and the potatoes were too starchy and grainy. My husband however had second helpings and liked it. Ketchup definitely made it better. I might have messed up somewhere along the way, but I’m not sure where. I wouldn’t make this again.

Very good! I topped with some shredded cheddar cheese. Might add some garlic next time.

Family loved it. Grandkids wanted more, but was gone. Made with buttermilk in place of milk.

1 cup of milk certainly wasn’t enough for 1 lb of potatoes. And then there wasn’t a baking time - this was not a friendly recipe for those of us learning to cook. I tweaked the directions and looked at other recipes, and the outcome was decent but dry.

It was nice and creamy. I will definitely make this again. I didn't have shredded cheese so I took thinly sliced block cheddar cheese and layered it on top.
