I made half of what was called for and I substituted turkey sausage, turned out to be a perfect healthy portion.

This was my first time making Biscuits and Gravy and I could not be happier with the results! It was so good and so easy! The only thing I did different was add in some red pepper flakes and garlic powder! Lots of flavor! :)

I used the sausage recipe (already had a biscuit recipe). I had one pound of sausage, 3 cups of milk was too much and I had to add about two more table spoons of flour and the gravy was still too runny. Two cups was probably enough. I also had chorizo instead of American sausage. It turned out great except for having to adjust thickness.

I did end up adding an extra tablespoon of floor because I like my gravy a bit thicker but that's just my personal preference.

It was plain, however add seasoning like a garlic powder, extra pepper and splash of salt 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻🤩🤩

Sausage gravy is a traditional Southern breakfast dish in the United States. After loose pork sausage is cooked in a pan and removed, a roux is formed by browning flour in the residual fat.

2 lbs of sausage was too much but all the flavor was there. Next time I will cut sausage to 1.5 lbs
