My husband cooked these on the weekend and am pleased to report they were absolutely yum.
Our chives were in regrowing mode so he substituted spring onions instead and had mistakenly added milk to the mash, making a bit too sloppy but they turned out beautifully none-the-less.
Only other modification was to the yogurt sauce with the addition of garlic chives. It would have been better with normal chives or even a little spring onions, as there was a bit of over-load of garlic flavour but still worked very well with the patties.
We had them for dinner Sat. with veg, and again Sun. with rice? and cucumber, don't knock it till you've tried it. They are a very versatile meal idea.
I have tried making salmon patties myself in the past but they never turned out as well flavoured as these, so will be keeping this recipe for when my salmon pattie loving mum comes over.
Isn't it wonderful when hubby cooks sometimes?
P.S. I had one reheated in a pan this afternoon on a sandwich with some rocket and a little of the sauce and a bit of mayo, (I know, NAUGHTY), SUBLIME!
P.P.S. No I am not sick of them yet even though I have had them 3 days in a row! : )
